Privacy Policy

Your personal information is held in accordance with the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018.  

Being a private medical practice, Dunlop Orthopaedics Ltd holds medical information on patients which is classed as sensitive data. This is securely held in paper format in the form of private patient notes.  Dunlop Orthopaedics Ltd will retain these notes for ten years after your discharge date at which point they are securely destroyed. In addition, clinic letters and other medical information are securely held electronically in Microsoft’s data centre servers in Europe.  

We are permitted by law to collect, use and share your medical information with other medical agencies/ health professionals regarding the provision of your medical treatment. We will not sell, distribute or otherwise disclose your information without your consent, unless required or permitted to do so by law.  We will seek to obtain your consent in order to release information regarding your medical treatment to your insurance company/ agent for the purpose of processing/authorising an insurance claim.
